End User License Agreement
Last updated: September 16, 2026
This agreement is between you and Maksim Danilov, an individual entrepreneur (Ա/Ձ) registered in the Republic of Armenia (“we”, “us”), and it covers the Diamond DAW software. It applies from the moment you install Diamond, whether or not you ever buy a license.
Our Terms of Service cover the website and your account, the Rent-to-Own Terms cover that payment plan, and the Refund Policy covers getting your money back. Where they overlap on the software itself, this agreement applies.
Using Diamond without a license
Diamond is free to download and use in trial mode, and there is no time limit on that. There is no separate demo build: the software is the same whether or not you hold a license. Without one you may use every instrument, every effect and every export format, and you may save and export your work without restriction.
The single thing a license changes is that a saved project file can be re-opened. Unlicensed, you can build and export a track in one sitting but cannot load it back in later to keep working on it.
What a license grants
A license grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use Diamond on computers you own or control, and to open project files. It is granted to you, not to a company or a studio, and it cannot be resold or transferred.
- Perpetual license — bought outright, or reached at the end of a rent-to-own plan. It does not expire and is not revoked, except as described under Termination below.
- Rent-to-own in progress — you hold a full license while payments are current, and it becomes perpetual on your final payment. If the plan stops before then, the license lapses and Diamond returns to trial mode. The Rent-to-Own Terms set out what that means in detail.
Activation and devices
A license may be active on up to three machines at a time. Activating identifies the machine so the limit can be enforced; you can release a machine at any time from your account page, and re-installing on a machine that is already activated does not use another slot.
Replacing a machine's hardware or reinstalling its operating system makes it look like a different computer, so there is also a limit on how many machines a license may be activated on in total. It starts at twelve and grows by three every year you own the license, so the longer you have Diamond the more room you have. Your account page always shows the current figure and how much of it you have used.
This is not a limit we expect anyone to reach by using Diamond normally, and it is not a way of making a license expire. If you do reach it, contact support and we will raise it. A license you have bought does not stop working because you have changed computers.
Once activated, Diamond works offline, permanently. Activation issues a signed license file stored on your computer, and opening a project reads that file rather than contacting us. No internet connection and no account login is required to use software you have licensed, and that does not expire. If our activation service is ever unavailable, or stops existing, Diamond keeps opening your projects on every machine you have already activated.
Diamond does check in from time to time when it can reach the internet, to pick up changes such as a new device you have added, or a rent-to-own plan reaching its final payment. Those checks can tell Diamond that a license has been withdrawn (see Termination), but they only ever act on an answer they actually receive. Silence is never treated as a withdrawn license.
During the first 30 days, while a purchase can still be refunded, the license file is shorter lived and Diamond will want to reconnect roughly weekly. After that window closes it becomes permanent and the reconnection stops mattering.
Updates
Your license includes every version of Diamond we release, at no further cost. There is no updates window and nothing to renew.
We are not obliged to release updates, or to release them on any schedule. Any release we do make is covered by the license you already hold, and whatever you have installed stays yours to use indefinitely.
Your work is yours
We claim no rights over anything you make with Diamond. Your projects, recordings, and the audio you export are yours, including anything produced using the bundled instruments, effects and presets. You may use, release and sell your work commercially without owing us anything and without needing our permission. You do not need to credit Diamond, though we will not object if you do.
What you may not do
- Share, resell, rent out or redistribute the software or your license.
- Circumvent license activation, the device limit, or the project-opening restriction.
- Remove or alter copyright notices, or the bundled third-party notices.
- Redistribute the bundled instruments, effects or presets as a sound library, a sample pack, or as part of another product. Using them in your own music is exactly what they are for; the restriction is on repackaging them as content.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except where that is expressly permitted by law that cannot be excluded by agreement. Nothing in this clause limits rights you have under mandatory law, including the interoperability rights available in the European Union.
Third-party components
Diamond includes third-party software used under license. The full notices, including the applicable copyright statements and license texts, are included with the application. Those components remain the property of their respective owners and your license to them is the one granted in those notices, not this agreement.
ASIO is a trademark of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH, registered in Europe and other countries.
No warranty
Diamond is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will work with every combination of hardware, driver and third-party plugin.
Back up your work. Audio software can crash, and a project file is only as safe as your most recent copy of it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of or relating to Diamond is limited to the amount you actually paid for your license in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost recordings, lost projects, or any indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Termination
This license ends if you materially breach it (for example by redistributing the software or circumventing activation), and you must then stop using it and remove it from your machines.
A license may also be withdrawn if the payment for it is refunded or reversed, including by chargeback. That is the only circumstance in which a perpetual license is revoked for a reason other than breach: a license that was not paid for was not bought.
If your license ends for any reason, Diamond returns to trial mode. Nothing is deleted from your computer and your project files remain yours; you will not be able to re-open them in Diamond until you hold a license again.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia, and the courts of the Republic of Armenia have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or anywhere else with mandatory consumer protection law, nothing in this agreement removes the rights that law gives you. Those rights apply regardless of the choice of law above, and where this agreement conflicts with them, they win.
Changes
We may update this agreement for future releases. Changes do not apply retroactively to a license you already hold: the version you agreed to when you bought continues to govern that license, except where a change is required by law.
